right, fitted an AEM wideband lambda to the car recently (f7p turbo running standard management with a fastchips chip on it)

running uprated fuel pump
gt28rs
wossener low comps
fuel pressure regulated to just over 3 bar at idle with no vac on the reg
15psi
bosch 802 injector (R21 turbo ones, they are 802's right?)
pace chargecooler

results are bit sketchy as it goes some so hard to let her rip and watch the gauge at same time and i havent got it data logging yet so it was glimpses when i could on full chat

idle - up and down constantly in a loop between 14.3 and 15.6
full chat at full boost in all gears - 11.0 then climbs back to hold at 12.2 on the nose

opinions?

cheers folks

Ben

Hi, as per my reply on the other forum, 11.0 is a bit too rich and 12.2 is a bit too lean. And then that doesn't take into account ignition timing. That could be miles out and you wouldn't know.

As with all turbocharged Clios, your car needs a proper custom remap. A generic chip just isn't good enough to run the engine safely.

I can remap your ecu for you. PM or ring me, mate. My number is in the post linked below:

omex or more likely adaptronic

Wouldnt worry too much about the idle AFR. Not totally sure with boost etc, but the AFR would be too low for a N/A build on full throttle.

Go standalone Ben. I am surprised you have not done so after all this time tbh.

Oh, and get a diff too ;)

just dont need it mate, its masses of money and looking at the AFR its not bad, so thats the reason i've not.

to fully convert to the standalone spec i want including resizing to a clio 172 clutch assembly i'm looking at around 1500 - 2000 and same again for a diff. i just simply dont have that kind of money to outlay all in one go. and the diff thing is way to dodgy with the amount of power i run, i cant risk blowing a 1500 quid box with no fall back

:(

Yea, true mate, the diffs are only guaranteed technically to 200 brake roughly, though mine is more I think due to upgrades they did.

The AFR isn't bad really.

big dollars indeed! what benefits would you gain from a standalone ecu, if your figures are good is it worth the 1500-2000, you should just spend 4k on a sadev box :D that should cope with the power and the ultimate mod, that seems to be the only problem you incurr which is very good

arent the sadevs more suited to lower torque outputs tho???

175 ish ??

yeah wont give any guarantees on a 6k box

Idle AFR 14.7

Top power 12.5

Try to get this values

Definitely heading in the wrong direction at 12.5 You might just possibly pick up a little bit more power by leaning out the mixture, but at the expense of higher exhaust temps and likelyhood of detonation. Nobody would recommend leaning out past 12.0 on a road car.
