Not too bad, one nut is a pain though, above the pas pump.
Its more that a pain, its a total bitch.
Can be done though, I'd try having the aux belt off and undoing some of the bolts on the PS pump and brackets so it drops down a bit and you can get a 10mm bit in with an extension or some other fancy tool...
Id have to say its one of the most simple but pain in the arse jobs on a clio, youll need an angle/flexi socket adapter and some patience
and a flexi head 10mm ratchet spanner. I think its worser when people slap silicone on it to seal it and then it wont come off
Eh? really not a big deal! It's a dead easy job!
The best thing you can do is remove the alternator and PAS pump/bracketry and you'll have all the room in the world. Will make the job a doddle.
doin mine sunday os will let you no :)
sorry to bring up an old topic
how many nut secure the inlet for the underside?
do i need to take the rad off or can i just remove the PAS and alternator?
Can do it with the rad on, can get an extension down there JUST about, but tbh you need to get a lot of stuff off just to get to a single nut.
Wobba
can you give me a quick 'How To' on what i need to remove and in what order to remove the inlet botton nuts in the simplist way!
thanks
have you done an engine coolant flush recently? Well now would be a good time to do one because with the rad and slam panel out of the way you will get the best result!
i have recently just carried out a full service inc coolent change so i was hoping not to lose the coolent.
If removing the rad is the easiest option it will have to be done!

Well, life is made simple with the use of a 10mm ratchet spanner. You can get all the nuts off, apart from the one next to the power steering pump, with this tool.
Read this thread. It will help:

If you can see very closely the nut I'm after is just to the bottom left of the electrical connector!
