Has anyone ever used these cams ?? they seem kind of wild and can produce good power.. Any info please ??

RENC/280/440H Tarmac Rally Sprint Cam

Power band - 3000 to 7500
Duration - 280 / 280
Cam lift - 11.17 / 11.17
Valve lift - 11.17 / 11.17
Timing - 32-68(open) & 68-32(close)

£350.00 Per Pair - blanks.

Notes - Good Mid Upper Range Power reasonable Range Power will not run on Std Injection System.

Why does it say 'will not run on Std Injection System' ?? does that mean it would need a usual re-map ?

Thats a rally cam, quite a bit more aggressive than your normal fast road cam.

If its stating your it will no run on the Std injection system, it basically means transferring to standalone management system to bypass the MAP sensor which is heavily effected from a wilder camshaft due to valve overlap, reversing and wild plenum harmonics.

However more times than not, you can get away with a remapped std ECU and a dirty lumpy idle. Unforutnately You wont need uprated valve springs and retainers though.

it seems these cams profile is very similar to the Pipers' 285 .. just abit more lift, tho Piper 285's work perfectly with a remap and standard springs and retainers so I guess these could also do the job
