ayup
i wanna buy a set on phase 2 172 wheels for ma valver but have been told that i will need "spacers"
basically just wanna know wat they are, do i need specfic ones, where i get them from and how much they cost?
help would be great
Cheers
Dan
You'll need 10mm spacers for phase 2 172 rims. With 10mm you need hub concentric spacers to keep the rims running true. You also need longer wheel bolts.

Are Ph 2 wheels different to Ph 1 then as my ph 1's are fitted straight on?

The handling of the Williams is very dependant on wheels I use dynamic ones and the offsest a few MM out and you can tell.

lol i wish it was a williams, its a valver willy lookalike, im tryin to turn it bak into looking like a valver, i think people will appriciate it more being a fast valver rather than a slow williams if that makes sense

Theres a tiny bit of scraping on full lock, but nothing you can hear. Infact I don't think it's touched the plastic it just scrapes the mud off the plastic inner arch cover.

Spacers won't do any harm. I'd fit them if i was you. FK do them. I also think halfords and places like that sell smaller ones but not too sure abot 10mm ones.

kool cheers mate, any1 know how much they are?
Hub centric spacers are usually about £50 upwards per pair...demon tweeks do them as do motorsport world.
You don't NEED them to fit the wheels on - all it'll mean is the track will be more narrow - but it'd be a good idea if you want to keep the same level of handling.

there is hardily any scrubbing but i think i will get some small spacers anyway to bo on the safe side, wat size do u think i should get??
also the suspension feels alittle softer with 16s on, its on avo coilovers, do u think i should make it a bit harder!! it was perfect wen i had ma willy wheels on!
cheers guys
I've heard the 172 ph2 wheels are heavier than a tonne of feathers and affect the handling?
