1989 Peugeot 205 1.9 GTI in Red (Rouge Vallenga)

76,405 miles
Only 4 owners
MOT till April 21st 2010
Tax till May 31st 2010
HPI Clear

One of the greatest hot hatches of all time, with great history & mileage, totally standard.

Bodywork:

The bodywork is in great condition, there are only a few imperfections (all trolley dings which could be removed for a nominal fee);
1 small 5p sized ding in the drivers door and 2 in the passenger door (I must stress these are tiny and only noticeable on close inspection)

At some point the passenger front wing has been sprayed, the original wing has been sprayed and it seems to have discoloured differently to the rest of the car.

Both of these points are minor and it is me being picky, the car looks great, especially considering it is over 20 years old!

Engine:

This is the more desirable 1.9 8v 130ps model, the gearbox feels tight and doesn't crunch.

The engine revs freely, has bundles of torque and doesn't smoke on start-up and/or under acceleration.
Late 2006 the head gasket was replaced consisting of:

Head skim
New head bolts
New head gasket set.
The car also has full service history with receipts, the last service being less than 500 miles ago.

Interior:

This car benefits from the optional Grey leather as well as GTI carpets and red interior.

The Drivers side is showing some signs of wear with the lower bolster split open and slight corrosion to the lower section (picture).
The rest of the interior is in brilliant condition.

Other:

The tyres all have plenty of tread with at least 3-4mm on each.
The car also comes with 3 keys (1 being the original).
The Speedline 1.9 wheels are in fantastic condition, having been recently refurbished.

I have tried to be as honest as possible, viewing is encouraged as the car does look stunning in the metal and drives great.

Car is located in Croydon, Surrey.

I'd pay that much, they are very hard to find in that condition and completely standard too. Wish I had a spare 2.5k now

My mate has a red 1.6 GTI, used as a daily car for the past 7 years and it's still mint, not a spot of rust on it. Still a great drive, I love them!
