Me too. The upper engine mount, is the bolt thick enough to take the strain? Looks thinner than the OE one. The OE nut is a hefty nut as well, what size is used there?

They promised these in March and being fed up of waiting i had some solid nylons made up and these have been spot on for the rallycar. Made a big difference combined with a short shift gearstick. 8)

I'd be interested in a group buy. One thing I am concerned about is the sturdiness of the main engine mount bolt thickness, also the lack of slack in the battery tray mount causing the mount on gearbox to snap, as has happened more than a few times on other cars. Could be it would reduce the chances of this as engine movement would be reduced therefore less wobble...who knows!

I'd give it a try.

well got i round to getting the mounts myself as i needed new mounts ASAP they look nice.

and to put peoples mind at ease the engine mount bolt thickness is the same size as the O.E renault one and the O.E nut is 16mm and the one you get is 17mm.

http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/kk159/dimma16V_photos/bits%20and%20bobs/mount6.jpghttp://i279.photobucket.com/albums/kk159/dimma16V_photos/bits%20and%20bobs/mount5.jpg

got it all fitted today and i even removed my 4th mount to see how solid this well be with just these new mounts fitted and it was very solid all good,
next i checked to see how much engine noise or vibration i'll get from inside the car and it was'nt that bad only a little bit of vibration nothing that will bug me so thats all good but if you have a rough or bad idling engine then you will get more noise and vibrations inside the car,
next i went for a test drive and with the mounts being solid it has even made the handling better as the chassie feels soild now,
first day with it and i'm happy with it :D .

P.S if you do the group buy and k-tec wont do a discount then i can gave you the address and number of the company that makes them for K-tec so you can see if they will gave you a discount they are based in corby.

Vibratech make the mounts in Leicester - K-Tec just stick their brand name on them.

It's quite simple to do a group buy if you are of a mind to do so. Speak to K-Tec by phone and get some numbers then some general interest from people here on the site, then simply make it happen :)

Yes - made by Vibratech.
It seems it is the "fast road" compound used for these mounts.
Which means they could probably be made in a harder compound if necessary.

Phone them up. I was in dialog with them when they were developing the Ktec ones.
