get a gunnerchip of someone on here, raises limit from 6500 to 7100 i think, makes a hell of a difference (mine does an extra 10 - 15mph in 4th gear according to the clocks) been running mine for a while without any probs, same with quite a few others on here!

im running a turbo was thinking about reving 8K is this advisable? and what should i change to PREVENT blowing the engine up?

ex. retainers, valvesprings, caMS?

if your wanting to run to 8k your into a serious re-build including cams, head work etc etc.

why would u want to rev to 8k wen u can make 280 bhp reving to 7k with the right components...

I guess that there is no reason to rev 8k on a turbo engine depending on cams and other things if the power curves is pointing downwards at 6500 why rev more ?

This engine need high revs its a 2,3 volvo 850,Hp atw very aggressive cams for this power and 3,2 bar boost

To be fair an F7P/R turbo bouncing off the limiter at 8000rpm is going to sound pretty sick :D

I agree with Laine

would sound sick, but for the expense, pretty pointless

Would only sound sick on a stock ECU limiter tho, not standaalone.

My engine sounded like an asmatic chicken on the limiter with the stupid VEMS limiter. Even the hard limiter is soft.

why use the limiter,if you change gear BEFORE the limiter you go faster...
