Not a car I know, but someone may be interested!

For Sale:

1999 Blue Yamaha YZF-R6

Only one previous owner

13,600 miles (may increase slightly as the bike is still in use)

Excellent Condition

Tax and MOT

Here for sale is my R6. I have owned the bike for just over a year now and it was my first big motorcycle which I am now reluctantly selling. I bought the motorbike from a friend who had not used the bike for 3 years hence the low mileage. I have since spent a lot of time and money getting this R6 into the excellent condition it is in now. In my ownership I have done the following:

• Fitted an Akrapovic Can (Standard Can also included in sale)
• Fully serviced the bike including a new oil filter, oil, air filter.
• Fitted a new DiD Chain and front and rear sprocket
• Fitted a new battery
• New front and rear tyre
• Datatool System 3 Alarm and Spare Fob
• Smaller rear indicators and smaller rear numberplate.

The bike has up-rated Goodridge brake hoses all around and a sprint steering damper which were both fitted before I acquired the bike. The bike is pretty much standard apart from what I have mentioned above. The original tool kit is still under the pillion seat and everything is present. This bike is an excellent example of the original R6. Under my ownership (and the previous ownership) this bike has always been garaged and it shows.

A couple of bad points: (me being picky as I wouldn’t want to travel to see a motorcycle that has been poorly described)

• A couple of small scratches on the tank which really aren’t that noticeable but I thought its best to be honest.
• The Akrapovic Can is slightly dented on the inside, it’s not really noticeable on the bike, but when it’s taken off it can be seen. I have had to point this out to people as it’s really not that noticeable, again just me being picky.
• Two small stone chips on the front and a tiny scratch on the right, hardly noticeable.

There are some extras that I am including in the sale of this bike. I have a twin rear light fairing, all it needs is the light section and it’s ready to be fitted. There are also two spare front fairing inserts that are included in the sale and also the standard can. (See pictures)

The Tax expires at the end of October and the MOT expires on October 21st 2009. On last years MOT there were no advisories and this year there is no reason why it wouldn’t go straight through again. There is some service history, mainly from my ownership. I have ridden this bike nearly 7000 miles this year and it has never let me down.

I am looking for £2,295 ono

I'd strongly recommend it. Bikes are very addictive though!

I was looking at gsxr's before the r6 came up for sale at a good price. A good starter sports bike I'd recommend is the cbr600rr. It's meant to be good at everything.
