I know williams cams into a megane F7R is beneficial, not sure about into an F7P though.

Are they definately williams cams you've got?

i'm sure it's williams cams.. now thinking if its worth to buy them or not.
is it hard to fit?

I've always been under the impression F7P cams into an F7R is the way to go, not the other way round. Even that would be minimal gain

Only ever fitted aftermarket as an upgrade so can't be 100%

i believe f7r williams cams are slightly wilder than f7p but the difference is nigh on negligable and most likely not worth the effort

pretty easy to fit, just fiddly to get the cam belt on and off again with engine in car.

i think i will try.. nothing much to loose.

I have here a Renault Manual that has the diagram for the F7P engine:

Advance on inlet opening: 1º
Retard on inlet closing: 46º

Advance on exhaust opening: 43º
Retard on exhaust closing: 3º

So inlet would be 1+46+180 = 227º and exhaust 3+43+180 = 226º and there is 4º of overlap, right?

I have no info on the williams cams though, but i remember reading an old article that mentioned 1º of overlap for the Willy and no overlap for the megane...but it was a long time ago so don't quote me on that :?

i measured valvelift on my meg 9mm inlet and 8,5mm exhaust, i got hold of cams from a meg cup engine it was said that it should be williams cams in a megane cup engine, but when i got the cams they were 2 exhaust cams and they had a number on them 5502209 iam not so sure that it is willy cams, valv lift is 2mm greater compared to megane exhaust cam.

if i look on the original megane cams i cant see any numbers, anobody got some willy cams to measure ?? width and hight so i can compare inlet and exhaust is different..

sounds like you have a set of cat cams, closest part number i could find tho was this:
5502208
278 / 271°
238 / 230°
10.20 / 9.75mm
1.75 / 1.30mm
O.E.M.

maybe yours are a custom set of cat cams ???
