ah yes sorry it needs a soft bag, iirc £30 ish from merlin motorsport.
some people use a wash bottle from a nova as its small but imo it will not fit with the tvr filter

as for the hole you will prob have a 80mm in your elec holesaw kit, lucky you lol
i drilled small holes all way round then filed it

so whats the widest filter you can put in there then ? im not personally a fan of foam filters and was thinking about a powertec but they are 150m and 200m in diameter would that go ??

150mm should fit i think, no idea what size i used in the end, was a caterham one for a pinto engine.

i did the same pikie drill session aswell and filed the hole out, primed the bare metal and sprayed up the hole body coloured then lined it with some silicone vac hose split down the middle.

nova washer bottle as said, from saloon model so only one pump hole but that suits me fine as car doesnt have rear wiper. renault o/e pump slots straight in. was 5 quid inc delivery, ebay job.

pipework on mine is different due to turbo so go with what speed says 8)

so what size pipe would i need then ( length wise )

is 80mm pipe wide enough for a long run? might be tempted to go for something with a bit more gurth myself?

just a heads up people im looking into making a few of these kits up if anyone is interested.
It will consist of

throttle body adaptor
silicone elbows
mirror polish steel pipework

so all you'll need is to add your own filter.
just gauging interest really 8)

What are the benefits of doing this conversion over the standard airbox?

imo the standard airbox looks better
