think that could be it leigh anne :wink:
Ph2 valver designation code: 103
Will work in a ph1.
In theory, with a 107 (willy) EPROM, should work for a Williams too.

Not quite understanding the thread.
I have a ph2 16v, had a ph2 ecu, but ditched it for a ph1 ECU.
No issues, just lost remote locking, central locking, immobiliser.
:o

ph2 immobiliser doesnt affect a ph1 car the ph1's have no immobiliser. its only when you put a ph2 onto another ph2 you get those immobiliser problems

Bet this company could confirm codes if you require;
http://www.carclinicmagazine.com/renault_common_ecu_failures.html
This link should have all the codes listed but for some reason theyre not there;
http://www.tunemycar.com/renault_ecu_list
Also just found this huge site, some interesting stuff to me, can download some immobiliser test kit too of this link;
http://www.bba-reman.com/content.aspx?content=Test_for_Renault_Key_Immobili ser_failures_emergency_recode
Sites above maybe helpful for some in future, not just necessarily for this thread.
Are these the codes for ECU's??;

Unless they have had the ECU chipped, that's a Ph2 valver board. Ask to see a pic of the board itself.
Ph2 ECU's work in Ph1 npnp, ignore the rumours, Justin is right.

ok ta for that which is handy got 2 PH2 ecu's so think gonna get some chip carriers and give em a go with std williams chip and a 180 chip from summeh
that looks like the S number ends in 105 which isnt a Willy ECU IIRC
