You wouldn't find that bracket on any Mk1 Clio

Best looking in volvos, Renault 5's and 19s

20quid!!! for a metal f00king bracket... what a joke. You were right adam, haha.

That's almost as bad as the scrappy wanting 125+vat for a PS pump...

Thing is if you got to a scrap yard to get these, they will charge you 20 quid for them, then you have to take the time to get them off too.

Cant get much for less than 20 quid now. I have a set and i wouldnt sell for less than 25 at mates rates.

That's depending on the scrap yard I think...

I recently went to one of our local and went away with a bag full of bolts, wire looms, relays, fuses, and seat runners for the price of £2.

I think it just depends where you go, some are really anal, some quite nice with stuff like that.

What did you pay for them out of the scrappy then rob?

Got them from albert looms in derby. Everything used to be a 'tenner mate', now everything seems to be 'twenty quid mate'

Thats because in wales 5 pounds buys you a weeks shopping.

He's a bit odd though...he shook my hand several times in about 15 minutes, each time was an uncomfortably length of time.

As Rob says...not alot you can get for £20, besides they cost what people are willing topay, which is circa £30 from my experience.

Sorted.

Upper bracket off a laguna, on many laguna's, not all though, mostly the lower spec engines I found.

Adjuster bracket off a volvo 440, all types, also found one on a 860 SE (or was it a 460 se, can't remember, the hatchback sporty looking one).

Basically there was about 2 or 3 of the upper brackets on laguna's, and god knows how many on volvo's, I didn't check them all but I saw at least 4-5 440's. Upper bracket off a laguna is easier, as the one off a volvo you'd have to cut it.

Bolts included.

All for the pricely sum of ......

£2.

Well i have never been to any breakers (and ive been to many) who have charged less that £5 for anything substantial (ie not just a bulb or somthing). To get two items for a pound each was unprecedented IMO. They must have been totally asleep. Good find.

Why didnt you get more than one set and sell them on ebay for 30 quid each?

I always ask for a ball park figure when I go in the scrap yard, if they say silly prices I go elsewhere or don't bother. I've had plenty in the past for just a few quid, like I said a bag of brackets, bolts, seat runners, loads of bits and bobs really.

I guess it just depends on the scrap yard.

Aye I could get a few more and sell them as kits. It's time really though.
