Gripper Plate LSD and 5.2 final drive best 1200 quid i have spent, transforms the car. Why spend more..
As i have said many times if you want to spend more money dont waste your money just get a Mk2 cup car with sequential, loads better than a dogbox.

If always wondered, what exactly is a dog box? I read years ago that it allowed you to change gear without using the clutch. But then I read recently that is a box where 2nd and 3rd are inline to allow quick changes, and 1st is across-and-up.
BTW My Fiat Coupe has a viscous coupling -not technically a lsd but does the same job. It seriously makes the car. Driving without one would be like going from coils to leaf springs. I'd have one in every car I'd ever own if I could afford it.

It used dog rings instead of a syncromesh for changing gear.
no where second and third are together is a dog leg gearbox as fitted to M3's iirc..
a dog box has a dog engagement instead of a syncromesh type gear engagement..

I'm interested in fitting one in mine when i FINAYYY get round to putting my car back together but i've done very little resaerch as yet so it woulod be interesting to hear what LSD's people have fitted and what they're opinion on them.
My concern is that with the grip level raised and the tyres gripping more the strain on the gearbox would be far higher?
