central locking/immobiliser infra red reciever

as title, has anyone got a infra red reciever available, the range on mine is terrible (about 4 inches lol). I need this for a phase 2 16v (i think they are all the same tbh)

erm, have you tried new batteries in the key fob??

might also try checking the cond of the IR pcb could be water damaged due to leaking aerial mount the seals r a bit pants they harden over time so if u do have a prob there a new aerial mount is definitely worth investing in also the soldered joints seem to fail checking the condition across the pcb and freshenin u the soldered joints with new solder and the trusty soldering iron a good idea and if all these suggestions fail i have an IR pcb :) any probs feel free to drop me a line :) :)
