something has blown in the ecu of my rt which is causing it to idle badly and the idle control valve has to be set manually now so on cold start is not idleing jst cutting out instead. does anybody know where i could get a 2nd hand ecu from or if there is any alternatives?
cheers nathan

I expect one of the chips will look slightly smoked or discoloured

ive been told by the guy that has retuned it and fitted the idle control valve and its a 1995
cheers nathan
if its a 95 and you get another phase 2 ecu your immobiliser will still be on, using a 2nd hand one you would need to fit a phase 1, IIRC

ah ryt i dunno i give up with it haha never had problems since this and now its a right pain in the a**e :?
Just take the old ECU out, open it up, marvel at the black scorch marks all over the place, write down the code on the box, throw it in the bin, get another one, fixed.
