View Full Version : Track Tire Pressures...
…What does everyone tend to use on track and find best suited to the williams? The standard 29psi all round do or should i put an extra 10% in them?
Cheers
Danny
If your using standard road tyres I would run them at a slightly lower psi. Last time on my PE2's I ran 26 psi fronts and 28 psi rears. Its best to use lower pressures as they will get a lot warmer on track and then increase in pressure.
Its important that they are hot when you do the pressures, 30 psi is a good start point..!
Most people stick in 30 psi cold then run them all day (they will usually gain 5psi when hot).
Start at 28psi and the when they heat up take them down to 30 and then start from there as it depends on the tyre your using. Too high pressure they start to bounce to little they feel sloppy and destroy the sidewall.
I was literally about to post the same question hehe. I think I'll go for 28 psi personally :)
