hiya just wondering if PBV's are worth getting fitted? decent gains?

the one on ebay claims to give better results with performance air filters and tweaked exhausts is that right? also is it the same one as k-tec sells?

cheers

not unless you need increased fuelling and most cars with minor mods don't benefit..

FSE power boost valve is nasty and very unstable. We WONT map a car with one fitted, they aren't worth the grief when a static, good quality item is not expensive

but isn't the idea of these is that you can raise the pressure while mapping to see what fuel pressure you need to set the car up with..

before getting a static one fitted..

plus i have had no issues with mine..

i have one on mine, got it at standard pressure atm but thought it was a good idea just incase any future mods require it upping?

only really necessary for running turbos i thought as they are rising rate to match boost?

as neil says, mines been fine as well upto now

My turbo lump is still running with one, fastchip has mapped it with it... had to raise the pressure by 0,2 to be perfect... lol

They would be ok on N/A applications whereby, the inejctors may be close to their duty cycle limit, you can increase pressure to 3.5-4bar (from 3), to squeeze a few more CC's/min out of them (prior to mapping obviously)

i have one fitted to mine and it was used for this reason. allowed mine to peak at 7100

eh, thats only valver limiter mate, standard fpr and injectors would keep up to that easily

ive put 1 FSE on each injector so I have 1 per cylinder, im getting about a 400bhp increase in power (100bhp per cylinder), so now running 550bhp on my standard willy, apart from boost valves
