im thinking of going down the carb route, ignition only management and twin webbers. anyone know of any tuners who can fine tune this set up? or any advice available from the tuners on here?

We know a very very skilled guy who's local to us. He setup my friends dolomite on webers on tuesday. If you were to ask us for example to supply, fit, and map omex 200, we would work with him to do the fueling :)

i should be able to do all the fitting myself. im in the process of sourcing the webbers and linkages, but i will need all the other parts to go with them. can u pm me a list of parts and prices? and where abouts is ur guy located?

I'm not sure many (any?) conversions onto carbs have been done on this lump??

I may be wrong though.

Hopefully someone else will have a better idea! :)

try bike carbs, alot cheaper than webers and easyier to set up, i run a set on my 2.0 mk2 golf with mappable ignition and they make 175hp on an other wise standard engine apart from exhaust. cost me about £250 including the mappable ecu. most of the work is home brew, check out bogg bros website.

hi id recomend motorbike carbs, easy to set up cheep to buy and with a home ported head and fast road cams my 1.8 16v made 165 bhp and 130 torques and returned 31 mpg average. ideal

iv only sen 1 f7 on carbs, and that was runnin 14.7s iirc

not bad for an 1800

manifold is major expense , and the chadil is the best quality

The absolute maximum 45's can flow is 200bhp IIRC.

Remember Dellortos too. To all intents identical to Webbers, and usually cheaper.
