i'm looking at gettin a stud conversion kit, however when i last bought new wheel bolts for the car they lasted 5 minutes shiny then corroded as i think they are zinc coated or alloy or something? what do i need to purchase to stop this lack of shinyness? can i get stainless steel studs and adonised nuts or something? or is stainless too brittle for wheel studs?

any advice much appriciated

cheers

hi m8 stainless can be used for your studs this grade is used for manufacturing nuts and bolts so would think it would be fine- Stainless Steel Grade 316 / 1.4401 but my advice is contact local steel stockist or a engineering company they will advise and sure could supply correct grade and make ur studs

Is not the car, it's the wheels. Are you using standard Willy alloys?
