View Full Version : Would this engine fit my clio?
http://www.touringcarspares.com/images_new/parts/eng/sodemoeeww.jpg
It's 300 brake and has been used in a rallycross Clio previously, all rebuilt now.
It has 8 injectors, comes with loom and ECU.
Looks like an F7R unit?
yes..
but its using the megane brackets in that photo..
and wheres it from has it dyno results to prove 300bhp
because i've never seen one over 270bhp without turbo..
seems a little high.. 8)

beast!
Buy it
ai, i'd question the figures tbh, never heard of over 250 odd without turbo
looks a mint lump tho
It's a Sodemo engine, used in BTCC during 94/95 as far as I am aware.
It apparently makes a shade under 300 bhp.

Offered at £8950
£8950
ah yeah sorry missed that. umm shall i bust a huge loan out lol
9000....very nice...
get to turbos for that front and rear...
I think these kind of engines would need constant pampering, it's a race spec engine.
Still, it's nice to dream eh?

thought the laguna 2.0 was a different engine..
9 Grand! Lot of motor! Surely 9 grand could get you a Pretty decent Motor which didnt need as much tlc!
i think the laguna touring cars ran a williams engine ,and cost 30 grand to build and made 280bhp on standard inlet

stand-off injectors.
In the words of Dave Walker himself provide "the best of both worlds"
Shame it's too expensive. Say you'll have it off him anytime he likes for £2.5k ;)

Eight injector mainfold my friend, the only standard part on that engine is probabley the cam cover
If you want to find a decent f7r try looking for a motor out the back of an old dalara f3 car 8)
