Following on from meeting up with a few of you in December for our icey run to Ribbleshead Viaduct, I mentioned that would be coming over to Morecambe sometime well it will be 15 Feb and wondered if any of you are about?
Think a drive round South Lakes was mentioned?
Anyone about?

ordering brakes and tires 2mo and getting wheel bearing fixed on tues so fingers crossed nothing else goes between now and then :?

Oooo expensive thought we had some caliper issues the other week but turns out we have been driving round with loose nuts :roll: of the wheel variety :shock:
That would have been fun if the wheel flew off on the motorway!

i will be upfor it. should meet up on the a6 somewhere local/easy access.
should either do beacon fell (for good photos) or go south lakes.

Yeh beacon fell is a good drive, it mite be busy on a sunday tho but i can be there in 10mins :twisted:
and i wouldnt bother washing it carole, it will get dirty up there real quick

we should do the fell and follow back upt yorkshire way for a while. theres plenty of good places to stop and chat (preferably inside this time, as i suffer with man flu)!
looking forward to it.
will be my last ever meet. car goes end of feb.
what kinda times are we looking at??? have to be back home to pick the kids up at 1 pm

Will be staying in Morecambe on the saturday night so will be coming over from there. Not to early got to make the most of the hotel breakfast.
Going back over Yorkshire way sounds good to me will have a think where is good to stop off maybe get some dinner.

yeh he mentioned the south lakes being a good drive so im sure he knows some good roads for a blast and were already half way there in morecambe (well i am from my house :roll: )

my car is out of action. sills turned out to be a complete rotten mess.
might even need scrapping.....
i can still pop up to morecambe in the shed i am in.
wont be the same.

it skipped through the mot in july last year. i knew the sills needed doing, the mot testing station didnt think they were too bad, looked like a bit of surface rust.
the body shop has cleaned them back to bare metal, and theres not much bare metal.
its a proper mess. needs a lot of work, and i dont know if they can do it (not enough metal) or if i can afford it.
shit happens. dont think i can make sunday. can make next sunday (only if the car is repaired).....

Just as well we didn't go ahead with this!
On way to Ribbleshead viaduct and the throttle jammed on, which was a bit scary! had to call out the AA. (had to knock on a door as no network!) After waiting for nearly an hour AA fella rrived. Cable was totally frayed and so they replaced it.
Set off afterwards and got a knocking noise on back right wheel - it seems that the wheel has now decided to loosen itself!

ive had the throttle stay open. not pleasant!
glad your ok.
inner sill and outer sill need replacing on both sides + some extra doings with a weldy flame. im not expecting my wife to be happy.

defo won't make Sunday seen as though car is currently trying to kill us one way or another.
