Was bloody awesome. I couldnt take my eyes off the screen, there was about an hour of constant action and disaster. Cruise was awsome too :D

Going to see this in 3 hours 33 mins cant wait, cant stand cruise but just gotta see the film.
What's the problem with Cruise? I think he's a top actor and always comes across as a decent bloke when being interviewed. Plus he starred one of my favourite ever films.....Collateral!! Going to see War of the Worlds on Monday, can't wait!!

Cruise is a cock, 99% of his movies are him playing someone who is the best at something or someone who is very successful.

Yeah, I much prefer watching a film where the main actor is a useless, talantless, boring, unpopular idiot, who fails at everything he attempts to do. These Feel Good films, where the leading actor/actress is someone to look up, are well over-rated. Can't understand why they're so popular myself. :roll:

Yeah but cruise plays those roles and those roles alone pretty much.
You look through peoples careers like Jack Nicholson, Marlon Brando, De Niro, Pacino even brad pitt, they've all played completely contrasting roles at points.
Cruise just picks the scripts that make him look good, you offer cruise the greatest script ever but he had to play a complete bum as the lead role, he would turn it down because he is an arrogant cock.
True to a certain extent. But most people seem to like that kind of super hero character. :D

Well just got home, film was good, bad point was no original soundtrack, but then that would be impossible as now set in america, but not bad overall.......
Only jumped twice.
And Cruise wasnt that bad in it.

Feckin ace film, sticks very close to the original story (ok, apart from being in the wrong counrty) but peeps who have never read the book/listened to the cd will enjoy as well, top bombing

Excellent film. Just the ending was a little unusual was if they got stuck and realised they didn't have long to finsh the film.
If anyone hasn't seen it and doesn't want to know, don't look closely....

That's what happens in the book though; it all ends a bit suddenly in that too. Nowt much they could do without deviating from the story line. I know what you mean though....kinda like "Oh, is that it then?" when it happens and it all comes to an end.

I wanna listen to the radio broadcasts of the series. Is that what you've got? The musical version is good too - was the first I knew of World of the Worlds - but a bit cheesy! :oops: .Book is well good though...may read it again now :P
