Anyone have experience with Catcam 5502208's?

Hi,

Got a set of these in my meganne head, however i think they might be a bit mild for my liking, 276 degree, 10.2mm lift.

I remember reading a few people on here had them and wanted to know what they thought of them, as i might sell them and get something a bit more aggressive before i put my engine together.

laine, me and my friend have used them twice now. They are an awesome pair to run. We used the adjustable pulley's aswell (but cant remember what i set them at in the end) combined with a remap. Simple setup with amazing results. No real lumpy idle, no part throttle low revs town driving issues, just raw power from 3800ish onwards to 7200k!!

Our car did have a full exhaust inc k-tec manifold and de-cat.

Im sure we could of had more by playing around with the cam timing but it was a quick job on a couple of cold nights lol!

Not bad! Mine have been DTI'd and timed up properly already so havent got any worries there.

Paddy not sure if they are suitable for turbo application, but can soon find out :) They arent old at all, barely covered any mileage.

paddy they are not ideal for a turbo eng, you will need a set of : 5502236

230 / 220°

main difference is in the exh cam. Did i mention Piper also do a set of turbo cams :wink:
