after some info about these ,i am sure there are people using them on track etc .found this on ebay and wondering if my samsung digital camera would be compatible as a recording device ,if not whats the cheapest recording device option out there ?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...id=p2759.l1259

bit of an additional info , i want to locate the bullet cam inside the car
and want it to be able to record with the flick of a button .
is there a way to power it all up via the car battery rather than
them tiny/horrible disposable jobbies ?

Does your Samsung video camera have a 'line-in' function? Could be labelled 'composite video' with a yellow socket, and a red and white for the audio? If it has these then most bullet cams can be connected up to it and the camcorder can be used as the recording device. I have a bumper mounted bullet cam and record onto an Archos as it gives me around 100 hours recording time.

ive just bought a bullet cam kit, i also bought a cig lighter and hard wire power convertor so i can power the bullet camera aswell as the mini DV recorder,

you can use a camcorder but need to have a AV in port, small yellow one, if its a AV or AV-out it wont work, must be AV-in! which is why i bought the mini DV recorder, also it saves it all to memory card so i can get 8hours of footage on a microSD card! and records by touch of a button!

btw can easy get a bigger card but i doubt i will ever fill that as i can stick the card into my laptop and download it all straight off!

lol its a tiny camera with a choice of 4button sizes so you can have it on your jacket etc to 'spy' on ppl!

i dont know the exact length as not tryed to get it to reach bumper yet, but its the same kit virtually as bayliss's so should fit

theres also a hard wire option so you can have your power supply in the glove box if wanted! dopnt have to use the cig lighter

what do you think of this all in one camera ??
it seems to have better resolution 640x480

http://www.dogcamsport.co.uk/atc5000.html

also how do you compare the quality of the video
that these cams can achieve ? (also low light conditions)

if you look the actual bullet cam(480tvl pro) has a resolution of 640 x 480

ive only just bought the kit as said on my first post, so only had a quick play with it stuck to the side of me car, and tbh quality seems pretty good, good little set-up, but like anything in this world, if you want super duper you need to spend big bucks!!

ayee must have missed that ,its the same resolution .
any chance i can view the vids you have taken with this ?
i know there are sample vids on the website etc but than
they might be biggin it up etc .

i am not after top quality , but would not mind paying 50quid less
for something that will do a similar job .
