Hi yeah you definitely need to retard the ignition for on-boost conditions. The maximum being at peak torque - about 4500 rpm.

To do this I built a pair of home-made det-cans; an Ebay 'spy' listening device, with the extended and glued to a large bulldog clip. Worked very well! Det sounds like rice being poured onto a metal surface. When you hear det lift off the throttle straight away. Retard the ignition at that particular load in steps of 2 deg. until the sound goes.

im planning to run a boostchip from Fastchip and after the engine is properly run in , he will be remaped on the RR by henk.

i guess in this case i don't need to worry about retarding the ignition right?

cheers
