erm.. forgive my ignorance, but why would to want them? what benefit do they bring?

allows you to alter the camber castor etc on a track car so cars can be set up for different circuits tyres weather conditions etc..

not much use on a road car unless severely lowered in which case can alter the camber back to a more standard setting..
