Lets face it, our clio's aren't exactly the most reliable cars in the world are they?

Bought the car and the clutch went so had to get that done which cost me £500 then literally a week later My Timing belt snapped. So I had to get the head re-built and all of that work done, fortuneately that was cheap is as my mate did it and only cost me £450 including all the parts and getting the head proffessionaly re-built and cleaned.

Now its sprang an oil leak and I dunno where from and its prolly gunna cost a fortune! Plus the exhaust is blowing from the manifold downpipe join and the MOT runs out on the 27th and I'm Skint! ARRRRRRGGGGGGH, I just feel like throwing the towel and going back to VWs or Saxo's(!) but its worth naff all and no one would buy it!

So what keeps you going when it all goes pete tong? I'm trying Whisky but I don't think drinking is the answer!

its a love-hate thing matey, when they break you obviously hate them with a passion, but when they run right and you go out and drive ityou realise why you put up with it!

i took my hybrid trackcar out for the first time in 5+week since we got back from nurburgring and forgot how noisy and bumpy it is and how fecking quick it is! love it lol 8)

The drive home from picking it up was brilliant. I sank into those absolutely knackered Leather seats and thought Yup this feels good. Then when it was warm and I stuck my toe down it felt awesome, but now I just wanna set it on fire!

Defo a love hate thing, mine seems to have fallen together nicely, got given a 2ltr bottom end, got a hillpower head out of a deal i did with a mate, widetrack bits came up super cheap, seats etc etc, my last valver hardly got a look at because it was constantly going wrong,

If i didnt know how to work on them i wouldnt be driving one!!

just buy a spare car and youll have plenty of spares!

change the rocker cover gasket and then use a tube of gasket sealant all around the sump where it meets the block, cured all my oil leak issues, just drive it, I do, even when it's broken its still good fun & I love it 8)

Its lower than the head and I'm pretty sure its higher than the sump...... I'll have a look on Wednesday or possibly tomorrow if we get My Uncles car sorted quickly.

i dont own a clio to start with and i never will :P

my 19 and R9 16v are the most relaible cars i have ever had
than again i can cover 99% of stuff that can go wrong with these myself 8)

what keeps me going is the fact that i got affordable rare cars
i guess someone has got to be awkward :P

Mine has also been strangely reliable for a French car.

tbh, iv not really had any major issues with any of mine. couple brake probs...more than a couple gearboxes surrender, but then i put that down to how abusive i am towards em, couple hours to swap.....no biggy.

othr than that they been 98% reliable.

Well you's are all gits! Haha wish I'd been as fortunate!

My Uncle has said I can use his garage to do the work as well!! WHOOP!! I'll be dry!
