Any recommendation on UK-based radio stations that streams over the net? BBC1 is OK; just want to bookmark some more. Something with higher bitrate (>32kbits/sec) would be nice as I play it over a fairly decent sound system.

Not UK based but fire up http://www.sky.fm/ - got the 80s one going non-stop each day but they've also got chart and dance stuff if you're into that sort of thing...

Just FYI.

After a couple of days of clicking around, I found this site (http://www.tuner2.com) that gathers a bunch of AAC+ streaming stations. The AAC+ format streaming is quite new and amazing. IMHO, it has better audio quality than Real or WMA for narrow bandwidth streaming.

<geek alert on> The 48kbit/s audio quality sounds as good as 128kbit/s MP3 streaming. Which means dial-up internet is all you need to listen to high-quality AAC+ streaming and thus kinder to audio streaming servers<geek alert off>
