Is there a way of spraying or painting small text onto a surface, without using a stencil?

Easy, long time....
Erm, I'm trying to avoid using transfers as I dont want them to discolour or peel away after time. I know what I want, I just dont know how to do it.
could use stickers then lacquer over the top
u can get a stencil of the outline made then paint the bits u want - remove the stencil and jobs a good one ?

yeah mate, long time but you still dont understand what i am saying :?
you paint your surface the color you want than put your sticker on
and spray again with the color of the back ground
or to avoid painting twice get the female part of the sticker made
and stick that on for the spray jobbie
