sachs do a 4 paddle clutch rated upto 280bhp, it's around £580 for the ocmplete kit for clio/5/19
its the 6 or 4 paddle clutch kit

sachs clutches are meant to be very good, but coops and maxiboy use the helix and have no problems so far
ok tnx so far
i can choose between helix, omp, sachs
and i'm stuck between helix and sachs at the moment. i have till friday do decide so keep the comments comming please
cheers
which is more expensive? i run the helix and that was £300 but only rated to 230lb/ft of dynamic torque.altho no problems as yet but thats what my car puts out, and i want more power soon! if the sachs one is not much more and rated higher i'd go with that 8)
schak attack - volvo valeo item is a waste of space mate, i killed it as soon as i went high boost, died at 10psi :(
coops: the helix kit costs 550 euro (rated: 450Nm)and the SACHS 546 euro (rated: not sure)
price is not a factor i'm looking for a kit that holds...
get a volvo 480 turbo valeo clutch 8)

what were you doing when stromba was teaching us ,

Yes,it is a Sachs clutch.
200mm 26 spline but this isn't a paddle clutch so not sure if its any good for you??It is definately for the turbo'd F7P/F7R though!!
if its not a paddle it will slip..find out what the sachs is rated to buy the highest rated item you can.... :D
I can tell you with huge authority :) (having gone thru nearly every clutch possible!) there are only TWO suitable off-the-shelf clutches:
K-tec's Clio 16V "Group N" organic clutch (circa. 200 lbs-ft, £150) <- the one I used.
The Helix paddle clutch that Coops uses (230 lbs-ft, £300-odd IIRC)
Sachs may do a suitable paddle clutch, but you've got to call around
-OR-
Get one specially made. Avoid Techniclutch like the plague.
Whether or not its a paddle clutch doesn't really have a bearing on whether it will slip. There are several different materials that clutches can be made from, each with different properties - which I won't go in to here (BTW a cerametallic paddle clutch will only last about 30,000 miles of ordinary driving)
Most important thing is whatever clutch you get it MUST be rated OVER 200 lbs-ft.

those clutches are the same as normal uprated clutches i believe, rated upto 200bhp.
this company supplies the sachs 4 paddle kit, 200mm
£505 inc VAT.

and this is a quote one of the guys sent me -
That Sachs clutch is rated as up to 280 Nm engine torque
We used to sell Helix but gave up after too many prob’s
helix talk is just another way of selling..the sachs clutches are known to be good though.
ok i think i'm pretty much convinced
think ill go with the sachs, if it slips i'll try helix. the guy toldme the sachs was better tho but needed more advice

No they're not, mate. The K-tech clutch is rated to 200 lbs -ft. Ignore bhp ratings. They're meaningless. Companies put them quote them because they sound good. Whatever you chose CALL AND FIND OUT THE TORQUE RATING.
Like I said, I've been there and done it - several times!
You say that Sachs clutch is rated to 280nm That's 206 lbs-ft. The same as the K-tec organic clutch. I'd reccomend yo go for the K-tec clutch. It will be much easier to live with than a paddle clutch.
ok
i'll ring them tomorrow just 2 make sure then..
again tnx 4 the advise, i will keep u updated
