Im right in saying black dot on dipstick will only fit a 1.8 arent I? I.e willy/16v dipsticks arent interchangable?

Just checked my ebay account after i told this guy his engine wasnt a williams

and he said

''hi,the dipstick was replaced with the one with a different dot as it broke. thanks/''

Am i not right in saying the dipsticks arent interchangable...?

They'll git but will give the wrong reading as IIRC the sumps are different.

Cant see how you could break a dipstick tho!
