View Full Version : Fat Boy GTi-6 Versus...
... lots, actually. :)
A 210 Audi S3 first. My mates car; he had his missus with him. Pulled a fair few car lengths on him up until well into sixth gear.
A Mk4 Golf R32. Another mates. All even from crawling pace until top end of fourth.
A Merc C36 AMG. A few car lengths behind him coming off a round-about, up alongside him and even by somewhere in fifth gear.
A modded Galant VR4. Sweet traffic light GP with this one! He told me his car eats Evos, before fluffing his first gear change and giving away a car length or so. He couldn't gain anything on me from then on!
And all this in a car with leather, air-con, air-bags, leccy sun roof, after-market speakers and a full complement of seats and interior trim. Just imagine what it could do without all that...

Sounds good fella...although I can't imagine the Merc was trying....don't they hit 100 in less than 12 secs? Either way it sounds like you are having mucho fun m8y :)

This was only one of the older jobbies. Have something like 270bhp - and they're still tubby and have a power-sappy auto!

never ever known anyone with a gti-6. i think theyre boring to look at personally - but ive heard so much good stuff about them as drivers cars its unreal. and not exactly slow in a straight line either. top marks to u zollo, keep sticking it to the bigger cars :) perhaps thats why the british love a hot hatch so much - its the annoying little brother thats the true underdog. except they usually win. :)
have always liked the GTI-6. . . . .first car in its class with a 6 speed box

ahh, will keep an eye out for ya. But ur right, traffic lights round by ur flat r just stupid! Hardly have to leave 1st gear before u reach another set. Especially in urs.... 1st gear goes on forever on the gti6s' don't they?
Yup - 42mph in first, so I could actually drive round town without bothering my left arm and still break the law! Although I may make a bit of a racket doing it. :oops:

One of the best 4-pots ever in the Pug/Citroen
Have to agree, they are brilliant cars, I have had two of them! One was cammed, chipped, full decatted blueflame exhaust, K+N, bilsteins all round etc and that one was unbelievable! The other one was standard ish lowered and on 17's and that one wasn't quite as good!
