Just about to renew my insurance on my 19 16v, can't believe how much cheaper it is now that im 25!

Last year i payed about £650 TPFT. This year, im going to be paying £402 fully comp! Bargain!

And its with the same broker, same underwriter, and same conditions, all mods declared, the only diff being i've dropped my mileage from 6k down to 4k, but that only made about £30 differance so its mainly down to age!

I even found one company that would insure my fully comp for £340, but they didn't do a high enough ICE cover

At last, some benefits of getting grey hairs.........

i think that is ridiculous. when some1 hits 25 they dont magically not want to boot it so i cant see the justification for such a big drop in price. although spose it is nice when u get there, another 4 yrs till i hit the big 25. ohh shaun how does it feel being closer to 30!

it is mate... low crime zone, 5 years protected NCD and 24 years old... £722 F/C... ****ing rip off, there's spotty little kids on CS getting insured at 19 on 172's for less than that :?

That does sounds a little pricy! My 19 is a grp 15, and the Williams is only 2 groups higher, so thats quite a hike, mind you, i am a year older, but only 4 years no claims and 3 points...... just wait til you're 25 mate!

on the williams its; 1100 f/c with direct line and 2yrs no claims for me.
900thpt
i also got a quote on a 172 and it was 900f/c.

so 172's are much cheaper to insure. bearing in mind i am also 21. and there is only 1 i.g. diff between the two? prehaps the williams is balcklisted kind of thing with insurers?

come on, cant compare a 172 to a Willy... the insurance is more due to desire to own... or maybe that the parts are more expensive on the Willy and they figured it would be worth more after the 172 has been out for a few months

I'm 35 - but I live on the outside of London - expensive area so huge car crime problem as they are all stolen to order - and it's an F* area according to that list that was on CS...

well i feel slightly better now at least Karen! lol

i think as my post code is Scroteport (or Stockport as it's also known) this is actually working against my insurance after thinking about it... :?

... could explain the searing pain I get in my ass come renewal time... although £1300 on my Zetec-S Fezza was the worst at 20 years old... lol

SK is one of the worst codes. Slightly better than M22 though. :(
