View Full Version : 1.8 RSi Gear box and Altenator +altenator tensioner bracket
Gearbox needs to be ideally around 70,000 miles or less may concider a few thousand miles over.
Altenator ideally the same as above or if anyone has a reconditioned one not from ebay that would be good.
tensioner bracket doesnt really matter on milage:)
cheap as possible
free donations will be grately accepted ;)
it's almost impossible to select reverse so yeah im guessing so.
several times ive just given up and pushed the car backwards
Have you checked the oil level, reverse is right at the top of the box iirc, and so is the first to suffer with lack of oil.
Rare for reverse, possibly the lease used gear to go

ive got a 82k rsi box if thats negood
no but i guess i should. i been relying on the gauge too much possibly
and as for the box how much?
The oil gauge tells you engine oil level, NOT gearbox oil, and should NEVER be relied upon as they are notoriously inaccurate
ok maybe im bring thick but what would i need to do to the box to get it workin
Check your oil level on the box, there is a plug hole on he front of the box, the oil level should be up to the underside of this hole....always check teh cheapest/easiest things first before going onto the stupidly expensive options
