Looks good, but £5k good??

The Wiliams starts, stops, and drives as well as it did the day it left the factory.
Bet it doesn't with 15 years of rubber deterioration in the bushes lol

I'd buy that - but he'd get £4600 off me due to the wheels and a few other bits.

I'm telling you now it would cost a LOT more than that to buy a williams and get it to that level of clean.

I think theres too many cheapskates in williamsland that expect miracles for 2.5k

I'm a fine example of what Daz has said...he knows how much I've spent to get mine looking mint!

indeed fella I'm just upset I was made redundant I haven't done anywhere near when I wanted to do with mine yet.

To be fair though I believe I'm the only current member on here to have purchased brand new doors, hatches, bonnets, bumpers to have fitted - I know you had new bumpers of course :D

It just bugs me that they're gonne sit in the garage for at least another year

Worth more than 5k imo, not many standard Willy 1's left in mint original condition and very low mileage too....I'd love to buy it and store it and use 0184 as a track slag!!

Hmm only just noticed the wheels, also the spark plug cover is worn and coolant is orange... :? strange for a car with so little miles....still if it's genuine it's got the potential to be concours with a bit of money spent...

makes me wonder with my low mileage whether I shud get mine aboslutely minters. next stop..rusting arches! looks a nice un that one. bit weird about lil things such as coolant colour and the breaking heat shield n spark plug cover though. im watching it on ebay will be nice to see how it goes

A lot of money, but well worth it to some people if the car is in good enough condition. Tbh I wouldn't pay that myself purely because I would probably prefer to buy a williams or valver then widetrack it and put a crazy engine in it if I was spending 5k rather than a 100% mint standard car.

I'd buy it as an investment, if it's genuine and completely original I'd get some new alloys from renault, tidy up the engine bay a bit and dry store it, in 10 years time when most willies are in renault heaven and 0001 has been crashed on a comparison test it would be worth a small fortune

Is it? The car is 15 years old, i don't think any 15 year old sticker placed on top of any engine would still look like new after that period of time, lol.

How much did all those bits set you back Daz?

Spraying is the major cost :(

bonnet and front bumper were freebie insurance jobbies after that bitch smashed into me - at least they're painted and on the car though :D

Passenger door and hatch I got lucky with and bought on ebay for about £100, rear bumper was another good find.

Just need a drivers door now - Really don't fancy paying close to £250 for a new one though so I'm always on the look out for an immaculate door with zero rust :D

Yes it is, mines done 80k and still looks like new, see loads of pics on here, never seen any that worn...

Think it's probably a fair price..... considering what I have spent on 0425 getting it back to tip-top condition......

looks a gud un thats for sure. do u think a willy 2 or 3 in same condition n mileage wud fetch the same? or do u think aprt of teh price is down to the original williams-ness....
i suppose it depends whos coming to look at it - anyone whos never had a williams before might just think theyre all the same.

He's drop the price now £4.8k

Daz.

I'd say a small premium for willys but the majority will pay for the best example they can find..

if i had the money to spend id buy that and keep it safely locked up in warm dry storage! as much as i like the willy 2 and 3s thats a original williams low milage low owners etc

quite simply put id have that! :D

I'd buy it as an investment, if it's genuine and completely original I'd get some new alloys from renault

In the end thats exactly what i did with my 28,000 mile Williams 1...... and to go slightly off topic i found it interesting that the colour of the brand new centre caps i bought as well... did not match the wheels, so it did occur to me that the whole wheel colour issue is a bit irrelevant.

With regard to low mileage Williams values, I think that is whatever you can get somebody to pay.
