I've read the parts that are interchangable list, and it seems 205 gti brakes are the same as 16v/Williams. Does this include the front? If so, is it 1.6 or 1.9? If the calipers are the same as 1.9's, this must mean i can fit gti-6 calipers straight on as a nice upgrade?
Cheer,s Chris.
This has come up before i think, have you had a search?
not sure on this but thought it was the rears only

yea, don't think there are any plug and play big brake conversions for the front off stock cars unlike that of the 205 for its 405 mi16 brakes / escort rs turbo and it's cossie brakes etc

I had a search, but couldnt find anything. Was just curious as i need brakes soon, and thought it would be ideal to upgrade.

Well the Saxo / C2 S1600 Alcons fit direct as i have them for the clio rally car. So im sure PSA / Citron stuff is common too.
Rear calipers swap over, my mate had a problem with his 205 rear brakes and we looked at the calipers, clio one fits, the actual front caliper i believe is the same on the 1.9 gti as a clio 16v item, but its the carrier bolts that may be spaced differently. my mate put 306s16 brakes on his 205 and i believe hes got the old calipers floating around might measure them up

Well ive just got some greenstuff pads for a 1.9 gti that will fit. My friend is lending me a gti-6 caliper and carrier, going to see if these fit. if they do, that would be a nice upgrade!
