Car is Tungsten Grey, is completely standard (save for Magnecor leads from Nick Hill's ignition service kit) and has done about 70,000 miles. The clocks were replaced at 30k to cure a wobbly speedo, and I have the note from Renault to prove it, so the clocks actually only read 40,000miles. Comes with tax 'til end of June. MOT has just been done so has MOT until Feb 2009.

Bodywork is pretty straight, save for a couple of very minor car park dings, a small starting of rust on the rear nearside arch (poor previous repair I think) and some panels have faded. Manual sunroof doesn't leak at all, but the frame hass succumbed to the usual problems and has bubbled up, popping the black paint off in places. Not had any luck finding a replacement that isn't the same way. One of the sills was welded last year for the MOT, and has been painted black rather than body colour. Was my intention to get this sorted by having the whole car blown over but not had time.

Wheels are turbines (there is a spare one as well so 5 in total). Anthracite centres with diamond cut lips. Weather has hit though and the lips need re-cutting and laquering properly this time. Wheels are shod with Michelin Pilot Exalto 2s and still have a fair bit of tread on.

Mechanically the car is very, very tidy. Head gasket went last month and has been re-done with a head skim by Nick Hill at Hillpower. The work is guaranteed. It's also had:

New cambelt kit inc pulleys and aux belt in November
Alternator (Nov)
Lower n/s balljoint (March '08 )
New coolant
New header bottle
Hillpower ignition service kit
New std cat back exhaust
New battery
New rear discs/bearings/pads/fluid.

Most importantly I've replaced the heater matrix and fixed the blower so it blows on all speeds and has heat!

Just before I bought it it had a new clutch cable, clutch and accelerator cable.

The only thing to do mechanically is new front top mounts. Drives fine but squeaks from the o/s. Mechanic has looked and actually said there's no movement.

Also has had a new tailgate strip and badges, new rear light clusters and comes with a new front indicator unit and new b-pillar black strip which I haven't got round to fitting.

Internally the car is in very, very good condition. Needs a clock bulb, one oil dial bulb and I think one might be a bit dim in the main cluster. Could do these if required. Seat bolsters are still firm, not squishy and there are no rips anywhere. Only thing I haven't been able to source is a black parcel shelf so it comes with a good quality grey one from a later valver.

The car will also come with a Nakamichi CD-35z head unit. I am keeping this in as I think the style suits the age of the car but most importantly the quality of sound from this unit is incredible. Also included though is the original Head unit.

Also have all the original handbook and service book, which is stamped up to 2004.

I'll be advertising on Pistonheads shortly for £1800, but to members I'm looking for £1500.

to expensive buddy im afraid

you can get a clio sport nowdays for £2250 on a x/y plate or £3000 on a 51/52 plate much less mileage than yours

clio 182's on 54 plates for £5000
civic type r's for £5500 ish

evo 4's on a p plate can be had for under £3500 in fair condition!!

yours will only be worth 1500-2000 in another 5 years time if you chuck it in a garage and the rust dont get any worse and then an enthusiast comes along

sorry to be harsh dude but its true

shame really as it looks a good car

i nearly bought the willy 3 for sale on here the other day as a run about but couldnt justify spending £1350 quid on it and i ended up walking away

new cars are just so cheap nowdays

i'd stick it up for £1200 ono and rebate the tax and sell the stereo separately to make some extra $$$

hope this helps dude

Given that there are valvers out there easily making this I don't think that's true.
