actually wouldnt mind some pics of how you mounted the engine in, a friend of my mate is sticking a F7P in his R5 and turbo'ing it aswell getting low comp pistons etc etc

thats the easy bit just use the two gearbox mounts from the gtt the front engine mount you will need to get the bracket from a 1.7gtx model r5 or 77 00 716 912 that should be the correct part number plus its only about £15+vat, yea ive got a mate whos got a f7p turbo in a r5

i done it for the fact i know i can put my foot down everytime i know something isnt going to go pop, i spend loads of money and time getting my gtt engine built up then a month later i bent a valve and just couldn't deal with anymore hassle with it

does the gtx mount fit the engine without any problems? i think that was his main concern, his engine is still being built so wont be going in just yet!

i guess i just had a great 5 then. never a single thing go wrong in 4 years

yea it does because the 1.7 gtx engine is an f type block same as the f7r and f7p's the three bolts on the block line up fine and also you can use the rubber mount from the gtt engine bolt, so it just fits straight in, i cant remember if i had to adjust the mounting holes on the subby, im sure i didnt but dont hold me to that, it will sit more flatter than wat mine does because i built my car in a rush and my local reno deal shut down the day my parts were in stock grrr, i had to use the engine mount out of a r21 gtx which stands abit taller than the r5 gtx mount
