hello peeps. basically i want to know if this can be done? i have a usb powered western digital 120GIG harddrive, which is currently connected to my kenwood headunit via the usb port (works a treat). but i want to upgrade to a kenwood DVD headunit. problem is kenwood dont yet make a headunit with dvd and usb port! (they do the flip out screen one ,but im on a budget and the screen wouldnt flip out due to headunit position). what i want to do is as follows.
connect this cable http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWA:IT&ih=009 (it will have a female 3.5mm jack port on the end)
to the multichanger DIN port.
and then connect this cable
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWA:IT&ih=019
and then use a female usb connector
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWA:IT&ih=013
and then connect the usb cable from the harddrive.
anyone know if it will work??? or if they have tried it??? i could purchase all the cables and try for myself. but want opinions first.
cheers
