which Renault engine would make the most power?
planning something outrageous as a longterm project... ie sticking something massive in the back of a valver :D
I wouldnt bother making RWD, the wheel base id too short...handling will be naff.
Twin turbo V6 would be nice though :D

i would use a 182 engine with s;@gtastic thrttle bodies and turbo!
cosworth turbo in the front with a back axle, prop etc potential for BIG power does"t end

not much about on the net for the v6 engine :(
not much about on the net for the v6 engine :(
Do you mean the Renault/Peugeot L7X 24v unit as used in the Clio, Laguna, Espace V6? 210-255bhp depending on the application. Not many manual FWD boxes about in Renault form but there's loads in Peugeot form. Gentle Ben on RSC is doing a project to put one in the front of his 19 and we know it fits fine.
There's loads of info floating about... look up 406 Coupe forums and you'll find loads.

snap, or possibly two high revving NA F7R's.
The money involved making one high revving F7R is enough though let alone two of the bleeders.
VX's are never gonna be revvy engines but they are torque monsters and that's what you want really Andy. Sodemo tuned the L7X to just shy of 1000bhp for use in the 406 Thunder Saloons so if you wanna play with little 4 pot engines then go ahead but if it's real NA power you want then a small block V8 like the Chevy Z500 is your answer ;)
