hi there im looking into possibly swapping my 1.9 205 for clean clio 16v or williams or a saxo vts. its a standard example bar some wishbone polybushes with just over 125k, 10 months mot and 5 months tax. theres some history from the previous owner and ive just changed the oil and filter.

not really what im looking for mate to be honest. if i was to sell the 205 outright id be looking somewhere in the region of £1700 so something more along those lines is what im after.

Why's it expensive?

No doubt you have a small idea about what these cars are worth. IMO it's not all about mileage, age, or even history. And i've owned 25 of the poxy tin cans, so i think i know what i'm talking about!

 if its not about mileage, age or history whats it about? colour, fury dice and if it has a cd player

and dont doubt my integrity i know more than enough about these cars, but i wont ruin this poor mans ad anymore than i already am by listing the points on why its not worth that

dickweed! Do I win? these lil pugs vary in price. I sold mine for about 1200, and had done 110,000, but it'd be worth more than that now I suspect. but then it didnt drive perfect, and the clutch wasnt great. If at £1700 it drives like new...then fair do's I say. plus its rare in silver. Personally I think its a touch high...but u know never know maybe it drives like a dream

shitface! :P well its worth that to me and in northern ireland thats a fairly light price for it cause its a bit harder to come by but on the mainland ill admit £1700 is pushing my luck  . just gave it a good clean and went for a spin it really drives like new but could benefit from a new gear linkage....im just seeing what else is available.

More about condition, particularly of the shell, whether it has a sunroof, PAS, even the colour believe it or not, before mileage/age etc as i say.

I sold a couple of mine recently, one worth noting was a 49k 2owner FSH 1.6, but with absolutely diabolical paintwork. Just a mint shell. Went quickly for £1k, but i could've held out for more. In comparison, my miami blue rebuilt Mi16 engined 130k 1.6 went for £2100 with no wheels, not much history and wasn't as clean a shell.

Strange market for them it seems. This could be worth every penny of £1700.

Why don't we keep this on topic though.
