hi mate they are no way better than throttle bodies as they aren,t as controllable.

what sort of money are they...

I thought that-but they are going to say that tho int they
my brothers just brought a complete kit for his 205 gti (R1 carbs)and the chap he got them off had a clip on his phone...he nailed his mate in a skyline!! anyway prima quoted me 800 quid for the full kit,inc 2 fuel regs, bracket for the alternator,t/cable,4 kawazaki carbs+ filters, breathers and a est power fig of 180-190 bhp + i have piper cams and pullies.or forget it all and get a loan and by a 400brake cossie!

not bad for that sort on money as throttle bodies are twice that.

but will need setting up and a tuning session as well

800quid is fair enough but isn't it a bit of a step back in some ways?

Also, its not going to be the neatest...the other clio i saw with that kit on had a square section cut out of the bonnet to aid clearance - not that attractive IMO!

loving the fact they have a half used loom cable tied up!

Theres alot more DIY to it than they will let on...I bet the just supply the manifold and a few accesories.

For 800 you could get a manifold made, and fit an ign only ecu...

i under stand on looks but the wiring needs to be 100% good and reliable more so for a track cars.

bogg brothers have been mentioned on here before i think, and the concensus was that they sucked?

from what ive seen (from work i have had in my place) its been sub-standard...this was welding and overall operation of a manifold.

well given thats from THEIR website, I wouldnt expect them to show anything other than their top work.

The manifolds I have in my workshop look cracking from the outside...internally they are shocking.

do YOU do any sort of carb/tb conversion?if so what sort of price?

Im a big EFI fan, but I would do it as a drive-in-drive out job...its not something I would supply on a DIY basis.

for me to do it, it would be about 2k. This would include ally rad&fan, manifold, ign only ECU, carbs , full fitting and dyno session.

2k..very tempting i can fit the kit no probs tho.dont no what to do now?

If you can fit the kit, why not go down the throttle body route? expect kits can be picked up for 2-3k i fancy a diy conversion using bike bodies. hardest thing i think will be sourcing a manifold

A throttle body "kit" can be sorted for say 2k.

If you have 2k to spend, AND have the ability to fit the kit yourself, you would be better of going for TB's.
