Tempted to have a bit of work done on this head i've got off atm given its got some issues.

Considering this will be bolted to a std 1.8 BE what would be the 'ultimate' spec for outright power?

I've read somewhere that 36mm valves and larger seats are about the best (tho expensive)...could a 1.8 make use of these to any degree?

Discuss!

There was a lad down this way, had a ported willy head on his 16v, standard williams cams, went like a rocket im told!! i would like to do a project 1.8 motor, as torquey as the 2ltr is the 1.8 was great fun to rev right out, mine had an 8k limiter and pulled pretty damn all the way around :D
Would love to build an evil 1.8 lump

35mm is the largest you'll fit on the inlets, but unless your revving past 10k they arent needed.
I favour the 33mm valves in these heads, they seem to do the trick nicely.
They require larger seat inserts, and so cost more as a complete item, but if your building for outright power expense is always an issue!

Im about to start running some tests on 34mm inlest on both the megane and the large port heads...should be fun/intresting.

As for the evil 1.8....watch this space
