The manufacturer i work with to get us discount and group buys on HT leads has asked me a question. He gets lots of enquiries about 172/182 leads etc.. but on his data specs it states the 172 and the 182 have individual coil packs rather than standard HT leads, can anyone confirm this and give me some info so i can pass it on?

AFAIK all the 1*2 engines (and the lower models too) run individual coil packs.
There was a big issue for a while as lots kept failing but I think they've resolved that now.
Quite how the power gets to the coil packs I don't know though!

im not posting on there!!!! haha
they do sell leads, as k-tec sell them, the coil pack appears to be behind the head and the leads go under the inlet manifold to the spark plugs:

1*2's run just the one coil.
they run a single coil pack with HT leads off it!
