After some recommendations as to what you guys use, I am a big fan of the Exaltos, immesnse grip, but I mange to go through a set each track day due to them rolling over on to the side wall and its costing a fortune!

Im after similar grip but last a little longer and dont break the bank!

Impresed with the semi slicks, but they might be overkill for the road too?

I thought PE2s were supposed to have stiff sidewalls!

What profile are you running? 55s or 50s?

55s will of course roll over more due to more flex (which I'm sure you already know lol)

Whatever you do, don't get toyo T1-S - spend more time wearing away their shoulders than being flat on the ground  lol

Don't think you can buy T1-S now anyway - they replaced it with the T1-R? T1-S were fine on my car though, albeit in 205/50, but maybe the suspension on my car made the difference as it cornered pretty flat?

tbh rob you will do that with most road tyres, i personally use eagle f1's but if you thrashing it they will wear like that, better off with full slicks lol i love mine!

hmm dunno about them having stiff side walls, I have had 3 sets now, while they are the best tyres in my opinion, I just want more life in them for my money :D

Can't remember whiat profile I had, think the 185s were 55 and the 195s were 50? I dunno cant remember, I did get the 195s as I was led to believe they would last longer, but they didn't

Might try the F1s, they are about 50 a corner from blackcircle tyres

Yeah something like these are tempting, just curious how long they would be legal for on the road after a good track day.

Best bet would be another set of wheels

Use a higher pressure, they shouldn't be rolling onto the side walls i use around 40psi (warm)on my road tyres for track days, obviously varies from track to track and day to day etc

I've got Proxes T1R's on mine and very happy with them. not as good as the F1's in wet but they'll do for trackdays and road, better than most to be honest, and only 35quid a corner last time I checked (ages ago).
