Dude! Get your hands dirty and get to the scrappers!!

Rack/column from a basic model clio, altinator mounting bracket front and rear from a volvo (forgot the model number...the old 1 with the F3 engine block). Belt from local motor factor PK800 or 803.

Job done.

The back bracket or "alternator to engine block" mount can come from any petrol engine Laguna I (1.8 8v or 2.0 8v) as they use the same engine. The front adjuster bracket must come from a petrol engine Volvo 440/460 as the Laguna front mount will foul the Clio subframe.

The back bracket is held on by x3 15mm bolts and x1 13mm that holds a damper to the bracket (This is a Volvo mount feature only, the Laguna doesn't have this). The Front adjuster bracket has x2 15mm bolts that hold the bracket to the block near the water pump and x3 (one of which is pretty awkward to get at) 13mm bolts that restrain the bracket to the power steering pump.

There's three of the bloody things in my local scrapper at the minute. Gimme £20 and I'll go get the brackets and the ruddy belt for ya ;)
