Looking at getting a super light single skin c/f bonnet at some point. no whats the best and most secure way of fixing it? 4x bonnet pins? more? less and what locations on the bonnet to ensure it doesnt fly off?

cheers

you want 2 near the windscreen, if you look at the scuttle panel at actauly has 2 raised bits, the bolt holes are under them, and you want the others at the very front using the head light bolt holes.

cheers fellas

theres also 2 kinds of aerocatch pins (i want flush fit as am a tart, lol) theres flush and flush plus, one bolts from underneath (flush) and flush plus bolts down from top. does it matter which i get as would ideally like the flush as they are, well flush!

Mine are bolted through to top of the wings/inner wings, secure enough

few pics of how mine is done, ive done as midge said and bolted through the front and top, bonnet is held down proper tight. i had to drill bigger holes in the front 2 as the normal hole is tiny, think i used a 17mm drill bit.

It does not move /flex at all ,that said we put some stiff small bore hose "spacers at thefront/ rear ~ to lift it slightly as can be seen in the pictures   ~~~ and the usual excellent quality from Stan.
