what would be the rough cost for doin this to a 1.4 energy head? and also who does this?

Stan* does...IIRC around the 350 mark but varies depending what you want done.

Before you consider it find out what kind of 1.4 head you have...for best result you really want one of the very early ones as the ports were straighter so better gains to be had.
