Seems quite a few people are after a meet..
Have a vote on the date.
Say 1:30 on the chosen date so we still have some light.
Usual meet place sound good?

Go for a drive then pop to a pub to stay warm.

I won't pick a particular date because I can do any one of them... although the 23rd or the 6th would probably be better. Will wait to see what the general preference is. :)

I too can make any of them, but I have lots of odd jobs to do on the car, which I should have done by the 6th!
I can't sort the rust out before then though :(
But whatever, I'll pop along.

Well if its pissing wet and horrible id rather come in a car i know wont break down on me. Than the clio and be stranded in pissing rain waiting for the AA or RAC that i aint signed up to :lol:

From now till the 6th I am having to sort my clutch out (its worn) and stick a few tyres on it. Hopefully all done by the time we meet up!
At the mo I need to do a lot before then. Change wishbones, respray a few bits, redo my scuttle panel, fix heated rear window, change badges, refit tailgate trim and refurb the old badges...and also give it a damn good clean!

what sort of meet will it be? not up for any convoyed spirited driving with the current road conditions
Will be a meet up to have a chat and look at the cars.
Go for a drive to the pub destination - Up to people if they want to drive hastely.
Then stay warm in a pub.

lol, I know I'd be wasted for sure.
My poor car still needs several things doing! Brakes are feeling a bit limp, but I am sure I can make it along still :D

The likeliness of me turning up in the clio now is about 20% its not going to be out the sprayshop in time i dont think. :(

gonna have to let the side down, im at the docks in southhampton/portmouth, can remember which, but for work i gotta unload a ship containing a nice new big shiney train :D

Well, we've finished our Southern mini meet. I think the Traffic Police are still on the look for us so we better lie low for a day or two :lol:
aye was a good blast :D

Summeh, I think you mean shaking heads, rather than nodding ones! Don't think there was anybody nodding their head in approval of our overtaking manoeuvres. :oops:
As I was saying, it was a really good test for my car as I have not driven it very hard before...and I was still being a bit of a pussy with it to be honest but I was surprised it handled and pushed so hard. I'm happy. You've got a fast car there Summeh! I could hear it blaring all the way off up the road where you left Zollo and I :wink:
I left an overtake a bit late when we were all together and I think it meant poor Adam was left behind a bit. Some great driving roads round there though, I've not ventured that far down there before, but I will be revisiting it for sure.
The clutch on my car behaved itself really well and I only detected a hint of slip once.
Next time I should have the minor kinks in the handling sorted and the clutch done, and I may even give it a clean :D

You mean the oncoming traffic? I had pedal to the metal at that point the old Tungy valver was accelerating like a bat out of hell, plenty of room lol...it's not time to turn in till you see the whites of their eyes in the oncoming cars :twisted:
