Linky no worky for me!
you need a PC99-JVC aswell mate IIRC
sorry w16v,the 2nd link works,i fink.so you have to buy on of these to rum in with this one ?
bang it on the side
if you need help give me a shout
ill bring my small rubber hammer haha
sorry no ideahttp://www.runescape.ex.lv/bildes/posti.gif
the pc99-jvc looks like diff connector
you need the PC99-JVC aswell as the PC99-X01
you need both, at present you have nothing plugged into your head unit do you from your PC99-X01? so how can it possibly send any signal to it
i HATE that this forum has no edit feature
anyway, just managed to look at your pic and it looks like you already have the other adapter attached so forget what i was saying
did you buy this new ?
Na of ebay for 1p ? so how do i wire it up then ? connector to connector and jack to phono socket, what about this connected orange lead ?
im thinking it might need power mate, ill have to go look at mine, gimme a few mins
right, looking at your pic, at the bottom of the PC99-X01 you have a cable going into it, which plugs into the loom for the steering adapter, presume you already have this sorted no probs, however next to where this bit of wiring loom plugs into the black PC99-X01, where the little white plug is, should be another wiring connector which has a live and earth on it
without this its not going to work, however, its not that odd of a connector, take the PC99-X01 to your local Maplin and i bet they have a connector to fit it
right lets see if i catch your drift
1.black connector goes on the dash connector
2.jack goes into the phono off the head unit
3.orange stays connected
4.need missing wire which should plug in to this autolead ?
right or wrong
yup you have a missing wire which fits into the white but thats currently got nothing in it, on the PC99-X01
also the jack plug fits into the jack plug connection on your JVC, not the phono connections
if your JVC doesnt have a jack plug connection, then its not going to work even with the other lead
i have various connectors on this unit, but the only one it fitted in to was a 'oe remote' lead ?
this connector ive got to buy,is there any name for this ? so i dont look like a twat in the shop ?
that sounds right mate then for the jack plug
you might not be able to buy the wire your missing on its own, call in your local Motor World see if they can help you, or Halfords, if they actually ring Autoleads they might just send you one out, or you could ring Autoleads and ask them
otherwise, go to your local maplin and take it with you, say you need a connector for it and they should have something that will fit, but then you will need to wire it up yourself
Let me rack your brains one last time, when i get this lead, how do i connect to the head unit ?
earth just needs earthing id imagine, without pulling all my wires out i couldnt see it properly
the positive just feed off the live for the head unit, usually you have one you dont use anyway, 2 connections on the red wire and only one is being used, so use that
so basically this connector i need has just 2 wire coming off it and 1 connects to the back off the unit.how can i go wrong ?
has 2 wires coming off it yes, one for live the other for earth
if i remember today ill try and get you a pic
PIC(S) WOULD BE COOL,TRIED MAPLIN'S DIDNT HAVE OTHER BIT,HALFORDS WERE UN-HELPFUL BUT HAD ONE WITH SIMILAR NUMBERS,THAT DONE JVC/CLIO UP TO 96',BUT WANTED £30 NOTES FOR IT
cant believe maplin wouldnt have something for it, hmmmmm
ring Autoleads mate
Yeah tried maplins and halfords, which did let me look in side packet to see what it looked like, then went to an car audio place around here and they could'nt find it in there book, but quessed it would be around £35 for one lead or £45 for the complete thing,so i told em to f off basically, same place that was going to charge me to cut x2 holes for 6x9 for £25,i dont think so,
